Our Elephant Trek Tour in southern Laos will be memorable. The tour includes all transport, English speaking guide, lunch, drinking water, entrance fees to the Xeplan Protected area, and elephant trekking (2 people per elephant). We recommend you bring: sun screen protection.
We depart from our office or your hotel at 8am, driving for about one hour to get to our destination. Along the way, we will stop at the ancient temple of Tomo. We will continue our trip to Ngong Bong Village to see the wood carvings done by the Ta Oy people. This village makes wood carvings that are in great demand through Laos. After this stop, we will continue on to Kelt Ngong, at the edge of the Xeplan Protected Area, where we will meet our elephants. Our 2 hour elephant trek will take us to the archeological site of Phou Asa, which overlooks the Pha Pho wetlands. Upon return to Kelt Ngong, we will take a break for lunch before heading back to Pakse.
