Luang Prabang in 3 Days

Our 3 day Luang Prabang tour includes round trip air ticket, transport in private car, accommodations in a twin shared room, English speaking guide, admission fees to all sites, daily breakfast at your hotel, government taxes and service charges.

Day 1
Luang Prabang – Arrival

We will pick you up as you arrive into Luang Prabang and transport you to your hotel. After a brief rest for you to settle in, we will take you to visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun, and the shrine at Wat Aham and Wat Mai. We will next climb atop Mount Phousi for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred gilded stupa at the crest and stop to view the sun as it sets overlooking the town. We will descend back into town to explore the Night Market, where you can find a lovely selection of textiles, hand made by local artisans as well as hill tribe people. We will overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 2
Town, Pak Ou Caves, Khouang Si Waterfalls

In the morning, we will embark on a short guided tour of the town’s oldest temples at Wat Sene and Wat Xiengthong, with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represents classical Laotian architecture. We then embark on a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a breathtaking view of the tranquil countryside as well time to explore the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims.  Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make the local rice wine. We next stop at the beautiful Kuang Si Waterfalls, where you can cool off with a refreshing swim in the pools. On return, we take a short drive to Ban Phanom, a small village known for its hand weaving. We return to Luang Prabang to admire the sunset at Wat Siphouthabath, and overnight in Luang Prabang. .

Day 3
Luang Prabang – Departure

Today we take you to visit the National Museum, the former Royal Palace. The museum displays a fine collection of artifacts that helps to represent the richness of Lao culture. Afterwards, we will have time to look around the Central Market for souvenirs. Depending on the time of your onward flight, you may have time to venture into town and stroll around and visit shops. The tour ends after your transfer to the airport, or you may continue onwards to another tour with us.
